Every wedding has a style and flavour that suits each couple and their tastes, everything from the location, the setting, the flowers and of course the dress. Your wedding music should be exactly the same and be a reflection of your taste and style as a couple. We are there to work with you and create the perfect atmosphere for your day. We need to know what type of music you love and music you definitely don’t want to hear. (Cue requests from guests for ABBA but you hate ABBA). Most bands will submit a song list and you can choose your favourites from there.

Experienced wedding musicians and DJs are very good at reading a crowd and a vibe and will be able to create the perfect environment for every stage of the wedding, from your ceremony, dinner and party music.

Here is the TRUTH behind four common myths about wedding bands…

Myth #1: The bigger the band the better

That’s not the case at all. It’s all about the skill level of the musicians and the genre they specialise in and their ability to bring that music to life for your wedding. Be sure to research your band and musicians and review on the quality of their videos, socials and song lists. If you can, go and hear them live at a showcase or public gig.

Myth #2: A DJ or DJ band will be cheaper than a live band

This isn’t always the case, most times they will be on par with a live band. You can go live for less, if you hire skilled and professional musicians. Be sure to do your research and don’t rule out a live band all together because of budget.

Myth #3: Any band will do

It can be tempting to go for the cheaper option and/or someone that you know. But your best bet is to hire a professional either through an entertainment agency or direct to an artist who is experienced and familiar with weddings and all that is involved with them and with running a band. A good wedding band knows how to read a crowd, work with the venue and create the right atmosphere. If you hire just anyone you see in a pub, you may not be getting an experienced wedding entertainer. Wedding entertainment is a polished and perfected skill that we have worked years on. Trust the professionals.

Myth #4: Bands can sing any song

We don’t always know your song request. Sorry! We will do our very best to accommodate if we do know a song and it fits with the couple’s vision.
