It’s Polka Dot Bride’s birthday and Planet Cake has come to the party with a brilliant competition!

Planet Cake- Australia’s most stylish cake decorators are giving away a wedding cake to one lucky Australian couple valued at $1500.

Planet Cake is world renowned for their fabulous couture cakes. Using the finest ingredients, the artists hand make all the decorations such as sugar flowers in their studio in Sydney. Planet Cake also invented the Funky Couple in 1996- a cake topper that is now replicated around the world.

Owned by Paris Cutler and her husband Billy, Planet Cake is the team behind wedding cakes for weddings of celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Guy Sebastian, Ada Nicodemou. They’ve worked with world famous wedding planner Colin Cowie and are the people the “A List” of Australia’s call for cakes! So it seems only fitting that Planet Cake has joined Polka Dot Bride’s second birthday celebration!

What’s the prize?

A wedding cake baked and decorated by the Planet Cake team in Sydney valued at $1500 (prize value does not include delivery and handling costs. Transport is available to all major Australia cities with the exception of Darwin).

How Do I Enter?

Design your dream wedding cake! Planet Cake has supplied eight templates to help you out or create your own! Let your imagination run wild and use whatever techniques and materials you please! Use a computer program, coloured pencils, paint, crayons, crystals, ribbons. Be original and be creative!

When you’ve finished your entry, save the file as a jpg, gif or pdf , scan or take a photo of your entry and email it to [email protected]

Once the close date has passed, the entries will be posted on Polka Dot Bride. The Planet Cake team will select their favourite entry and the winner will work with Planet Cake on creating their dream wedding cake.

Who can enter?

Entry is open to all Australian residents aged 18 or over. International entries will be accepted however they will not be eligible for the prize.

What are the conditions?

The competition is open to Australian residents. Employees of Polka Dot Bride and Planet Cake are not permitted to enter.

The competition will commence January 13th 2009 Entries close 12am Australian EST on February 13th  (That’s FRIDAY at midnight) This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on creative merit. Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The prize is valid for 12 months from the date of winner’s announcement. Limit of ONE entry per person.

This prize does not include shipping and handling costs. These are the responsibility of the winner.

No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize.

The best entry, as determined by the judges, will win a Planet Cake designed cake valued at $1500 Australian dollars Unless otherwise stipulated, all other costs that are associated with redeeming the prize are the responsibility of the winner.

No responsibility will be accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.

The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of the prize.

All entries become the property of the promoters -Polka Dot Bride. The Promoter reserves the right to use the content of all entries for the purpose of future promotions or blog content.
