She was inspired to sing the song after losing admission to France (Fiance’s daddy rejected her) b.c. she was believed to be marrying him strictly for money. She then performs this song in a night club to make ends-meat and survive.
Inspired by Marilyn, I named my dog Diademe Elle – roughly translated to Diamond Girl – (my best friend).
Technically it’s “Lorelei Lee” (played by Marilyn) who sang it. This is such a great movie! She sang this song when she worked in a nightclub after her would-have-been-father-in-law canceled her credit. She performed to wealthy businessman in order to make ends meet.

I love the Elizabeth Pearl Bracelet, or the Caroline Briolette Vine Hairpin. Though they are all simple and classic, but a little special… a great wedding-day look :). And Marilyn liked diamonds, because she(/her character) wasn’t yet married to a man who would always be there for her.
