Today I have another ‘too good to be true’ competition instore for you!
Henry from Henri Josef by Henry Roth has been a busy bee since we last saw him on Polka Dot Bride. Apart from his busy life as a bridal designer, he’s wrapped up Series One of Project Runway Australia and is ready for Series Two (which is casting now).
Last time Henry visited the blog he gave away a wedding gown, this time he’s dressing your bridesmaids!
What’s The Prize?
Four Henri Josef bridesmaid gowns in style #86259 for one lucky bridal party!
This feminine gown has a strapless sweetheart neck line and is in an empire style that falls softly to the hem. It features satin detailing under the bust over a chiffon dress.
The dress is available in a wide range of delicious colours – White, Ivory, Baby Pink, Pink, Coral, Fucshia, Hot Pink, Champagne, Gold, Rust, Orange, Cinnamon, Grape, Wine, Chocolate, Pool, Peridot, Black, Lilac, Fresh Grape, Butter Cup, Plum, Navy, Charcoal in Sizes 2-18 and 20-30. Each gown is valued at $375. with a combined prize value of $1500. The prize will be in your colour choice.
How Do I Enter?
Like the Win A Wedding Dress competition, this competition is all about inspiration boards! Inspiration boards are one of my favourite things in the wedding world. You can pull together every element of a fabulous wedding in pictures to create a real ‘feel’ for the event. Check out any wedding blog and you’ll see plenty of these – you can check out previous Polka Dot Bride boards here.
To win the dress you must create an inspiration board around the Henri Josef bridesmaid gown.
Rustic or formal, country or city it’s up to you! Use your board to describe the setting of the wedding, the little details, tell us the mood – tell us a story! Be sure to feature the bridesmaid gown in your entry!
Your entry must be emailed to win@polkadotbride.com.au by 11.55pm Australian Eastern Standard Time, Thursday 23rd of April 2009
Once the close date has passed, Polka Dot Bride readers will be asked to vote on their favourite entry. The three entries with the highest votes will be passed onto Henry Roth who will choose the winner!
How Do I Make An Inspiration Board?
You can make a board using any graphics program like Photoshop or Paintshop. Simply save the images you’d like to use and arrange them in a document. Mrs Lemon at Weddingbee has written a tutorial on using Photoshop for your inspiration boards. A very easy way, is to use an online tool called Mosaic Maker where you can upload your pics and create a simple but effective board over at Flickr tools. A third way is to use Polyvore, which allows you to drop images in from any source.
Please credit all sources of the pictures you use to create your board (i.e instead of ‘Google images’ try and find the exact source) and link to them. If in doubt, it’s best to leave it out!
Here is the gown you can win for your maids (Your entry must contain at least one photo of the gown). You can also view the gown on the Henri Josef website.
Who Can Enter?
Entry is open to all Australian residents aged 18 or over. International entries will be accepted however they will not be eligible for the prize.
What Are The Conditions?
The competition is open to Australian residents. Employees of Polka Dot Bride and Henri Josef are not permitted to enter.
There is a limit of one entry per person.
The competition will commence on Wednesday, 4th March 2009. Entries close 11.55pm Australian EST on Thursday, 23rd of April. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on creative merit. Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The prize is valid for twelve months from the date of winner’s announcement and will be the size of the closest measurements on the Henri Josef size chart. The size will be determined through bust, hip and waist measurements.
This prize does not include alterations.
Henri Josef will make direct contact with the winner upon the announcement. The prize includes shipping and insurance within Australia.
The prize is not transferable and can not be substituted for any other Henri Josef product.
The prize must be claimed within twelve months of initial contact by Henri Josef Australia. If no contact is made within twelve months, the prize will become null and void.
No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize.
The best entry, as determined by the judges, will win Henri Josef dress design #86259. The prize is valued at $1500 Unless otherwise stipulated, all other costs that are associated with redeeming the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
No responsibility will be accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.
The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of the prize.
All entries become the property of the promoters – Polka Dot Bride. The Promoter reserves the right to use the content of any entry for the purpose of future promotions or blog content.

Laura- That’s my mistake! We did try and provide different colours but the gown just ended up looking distorted and odd! You can find a colour chart that accurately represents the colours that the gown comes in at your local Heni Josef stockist though!
