Creative Colour – Blush Pink

A blush pink, soft as a baby’s cheek and ultra feminine.

Combine with:

- slightly darker pinks – think the inside petals of a rose

- white, in all its different shades from pink-white to off-white

- soft grey – embellish this with pink crystals, pink sashes, pink shoes to tie it into your pink scheme

- pale coffee/stone to balance any ‘sugary’ overtones

- touches of black – to add a counterpoint to all that sweetness

- silver or chrome

- glass and crystal

- vintage lace, crisp white or pale pink linen, candelabra

- keep dress styles simple – think Audrey Hepburn – to balance the ‘frothiness’ of the colour scheme. Think flat bows, under the bust, in your hair, shoes and jewellery that are a work of art, neckline or waist embellished with crystals and beading

- old ruby glass, old milk glass, depression glass, white crockery plain or with ornate edges, old mercury glass

- green wine or water glasses

- soft greens from olives through to fresh leaf greens, sage green

- peonies, roses, pink seed heads of various grasses, hydrangeas, orchids, hyacinths, in large voluptuous arrangements or simple single blooms in generous groups in silver or vintage glass containers, soft grey furry leaves, flannel flowers, jasmine, armfuls of frothy white flowers

- set up the bathroom at the venue with fragrant hand creams, soaps and tiny bottles of perfume for your guests to use

- white pebbles, white or pink candles, bowls of water floating with pink water lilies

- keep furniture in white and classically simple – no tizzy chair covers

- pearls, diamonds, (what about pink diamonds if you love the colour)

- sunshine, gardens, large shade trees, lily ponds, fountains

- silver dishes of musk lollies, sherbets, Turkish delight, pink iced petit fours or cupcakes, coconut ice, pink sparkling wine

- white shells, coral, starfish, pearlised shells, capiz shell plates or hanging pendants
