A soft brown – the colour of….you guessed it ….milk chocolate!

Combine with mint green, ivory and touches only of pale blue

-     With fresh spring green, white and touches of darker green

-     With cherry red, latte and cream

-     With robin’s egg blue, bone and latte

-     With aqua, dark chocolate, pale grey and ivory

-     With deep sky blue, pale blue, dark chocolate and sand

-     With apricots of different intensities and cream

-     With champagne and soft creamy yellow with ivory

-     With sugar pink, champagne and palest apricot

-     With soft mid pink, ivory, deeper brown

-     Aeoniums, cordylines, Honeymoon rose (cream with pale latte centres), roses of any colour that match your colour scheme, red spider orchids, coloured anthuriums, berries, dodda vine, lilies, dark tulips

-     Metallics go well with this colour – copper, pewter, brass, silver

-      In a smaller reception area add ‘balls’ made from flowers of your choice hung from the ceiling at various lengths with colour coordinated ribbon. Repeat these flowers in looser smaller arrangements on your tables – even in tiny glass vases with a single stem per vase, scattered over the tables. Keep most of the decoration to a lighter shade and add touches of milk chocolate in votive holders, ribbon, buttons, place cards, placemats or piping

-     For a more autumnal look use copper vessels, autumn fruit and berries, twigs, rustic objects, sheaves of wheat, copper threads in linen to add a subtle sparkle, beeswax candles, dark wooden chairs, open fireplace,

-     Use the cherry red or robin’s egg blue colour way for a different take on a nautical theme. Think of striped table overlays or napkins in those colours over milk chocolate table cloths, striped bunting in swags around the room, old brass ships bells, wheel clocks, compasses and lanterns used as part of your table settings, ropes knotted in nautical knots, bracelets with nautical charms for your bridesmaids, groomsmen in coloured shirts to match your scheme with the groom in latte or ivory

-       A three layer cake each featuring a dark, milk and white chocolate layer, covered in milk chocolate coloured fondant

-       Your invitations, place cards etc in a milk chocolate with a metallic script, held together with a wax seal, or metallic thread
