US designer Alisa Benay first entered my radar this time last year and admittedly hasn’t left it, but for some reason, I have never featured her on a Monday! Well today I plan to rectify it and show off Alisa’s beautiful gowns!
Alisa’s love of historical gowns mean her creations have a Renaissance, vintage feel to them but are pulled into the modern era with Alisa’s use of beautiful colours and unique details. The gowns feature period details like bustles, corsets, tiers and draping. Alisa also creates a range of accessories including cameo pearl necklaces and birdcage veils.
Alisa’s initiative -The 100 Brides for $100k Program launched in December 2009 where by selling limited edition Alisa Benay creations, Alisa hopes to raise $100,000 every year towards breast cancer research.
