Lauren & Beau

I love the nature of today’s wedding from Bulli in New South Wales- classic black and white with the gorgeous glowy gold of the beaches and touches of nature. It has such a gorgeously relaxed feel to it, I know you’re going to love it!

Lauren and Beau, our newlyweds met on a surfing course while Lauren was holiday- Beau was the instructor! The couple maintained a long distance relationship for nearly two years before tying the knot.

Photos today are by Janine Kaye Photography. I love the relaxed nature of Janine’s shots, the couple always looks completely comfortable and like they’re having the time of their lives- exactly what you want on your wedding day!

Lauren wore a strapless gown from the Bridal Factory, Wetherill Park and carried a bouquet of cream and blush pink roses arranged by a family friend. The bridesmaids wore black gowns from Events.

Family & friends helped a lot with the wedding day. Beau’s mother made the invitations, Lauren & Beau made the favors themselves and the bridal party traveled in cars provided by Lauren’s father & brother and Beau’s mother.

Lauren and Beau married at Bulli Anglican Church. Lauren says “It the perfect size and location for an intimate ceremony.” Lauren walked down the aisle to “Forever” by Ben Harper

Lauren says “The ceremony was started by my brother Luke (a Pastor). He then handed the ceremony over to my father, John, who is also a Pastor. Our photos capture every single special detail, from getting ready, the ceremony, our friends, family and decorative details at the reception.”

Lauren recounted a funny moment “One of Beau’s groomsman was given the ring box for the ceremony. He didn’t know that the box was empty. Come time to hand the rings over, he was left rather red faced.”

Lauren and Beau loved the casual group shots they had taken, rather than traditional formals.

Lauren wore black peeptoes from Diana Ferrari.

Lauren and Beau held their reception at Panorama House, Bulli Tops. Lauren says “We chose Panorama House for the stunning view (and large meal portions)” Family friend Liza made the three tier wedding cape decorated with black ribbon and fresh flowers

Lauren and Beau danced and improvised first dance to “Better Together” by Jack Johnson.

A big thank you to Lauren & Beau for allowing us to share their wedding day on Polka Dot Bride! Thank you also to Janine of Janine Kaye Photography for sharing today’s images!
