Michelle and Brendan

A super sweet engagement shoot for you today, Michelle and Brendan took their engagement photos in Wonga Park, Victoria with their friend Anneliese Christensen. “We were inspired by nature & a fun vintage feel. We wanted the photo shoot to reflect our personalities, and our love story – young love reigns!  Our amazingly creative friend and photographer sourced the props from op-shops & her garage! ” Michelle and Brendan wanted to show you don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a great engagement shoot!

I was touched by Michelle’s heartfelt story- good luck with your next few months of planning guys!

“The first time we  met was in year 10 at an interschool cross country meet. Our schools would always participate together in  sporting events, but we never met each other until 2006 at a leadership
conference camp in Canberra and hit it off! There was a lot of high school  flirting involved! We were both each others first serious relationship. We’re definitely ‘high  school sweethearts’.

Since then we’ve been together 4 and a half years. Brendan proposed in Jan 2010 after a bike ride along the beach while we were  on a trip in Noosa, QLD. It did take a lot of persistence from his side however because I (Michelle) was in a very grumpy mood on the day! My mood did suddenly change however when Brendan got down on one knee and proposed,  and gave me the most beautiful ring – I’ve never seen anything like it. The  wedding plans are ahead and we’re getting married in March 2011.

Being young and in love can be difficult. People can sometimes question the  seriousness of your relationship. We always reminded ourselves that to have real love was about making the mature decision, even at a young age, to be totally committed to the other  person, through all the good and bad times and ups and downs. Love is a  decision, and love is in our actions. And from that decision we have the  most amazing and honest relationship. We’re each others best friends.”
