Lauren & Brian

A beautifully fun Sunshine Coast wedding for you today! I love the colour in today’s wedding- it’s all about the yellow! Lauren, today’s bride was budget conscious and sourced all of her wedding details on eBay or made them herself! Besides the fun details. There’s a lot of love in this wedding day that shines through the photographs – it’s the kind of wedding you want to grab a cold drink and join in with because Lauren & Brian look like they’d not bat an eyelid – just invite you onto the dance floor!

Julian of Kariz-Matik Photography captured today’s beautiful images – they have a soul to them and a peace which he has beautifully captured.

Julian says “Everything from the dress to the place settings, to the trinkets, stationary and day’s “event guide” was done by Lauren. It was either hand-made or bought straight off of eBay”.

Lauren wore pink and red Vivienne Westwood Heart shoes.

Julian says “This Wedding was totally up and down. I arrived on scene at Portobello’s in Dicky Beach (where Lauren got ready). I immediately asked about the ceremony location, so I could scout for some spots. Of course the original ceremony location had been rained out. Lauren laughed and added, “Oh, and the celebrant is sick, too. Her voice is pretty broken up,”

Lauren and Brian were married at Dicky Beach Surf Life Saving Club. The bridal party (including Lauren and her dad) danced their way down the aisle to Jamaroqui’s “You Give Me Something”!

The poor ring bearer didn’t make it through the ceremony, Julian says “After the prep shots, everyone headed to the new ceremony location and it went off without a hitch, until about half way through. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed the ring-bearer turn pale. Then his eyes opened wide. Then I heard it; dry reaching. Then sure as night follows day, a splash of vomit. But Lauren didn’t care – she kept on smiling and the wedding turned out absolutely beautiful. She told me, so long as they ended up married, no matter what, she’d be happy.”

After their photographs, Lauren & Brian rejoined their guests at the at Dicky Beach Surf Life Saving Club where they ate at a table set for two. Lauren had arranged a sweets buffet full of homemade cupcakes and delicious treats.

Instead of a first dance, Lauren serenaded her new husband with “You’re My best Friend” using the hired karaoke machine.

Thank you Lauren & Brian for sharing your special day with us on Polka Dot Bride! Thank you also to Julian of Kariz-Matik Photography for sharing today’s images!
