Atypical Type A - Beaded napkin rings

Napkin rings are a simple way to incorporate your wedding colours into your table settings even if you’re stuck with the venue’s stock standard linens.

This beaded version might take a little while if you have a lot of guests, but it is a very easy and inexpensive project that you can do while watching Grey’s Anatomy.

You will need:

  • Memory wire (don’t substitute for regular wire, as it won’t hold its shape)
  • Your choice of beads
  • Small round-nosed pliers
  • Flat pliers with wire cutter

Atypical Type A - Beaded napkin rings tutorial 1

1. Work out how many spirals you want (I chose three) and cut to length using the wire cutter part of the flat pliers.

2. Using the round-nosed pliers, create a loop at one end of the wire. Bend the top of the loop back slightly to form a teardrop shape.

3. Thread beads onto the open end of the spiral until full.

4. Loop the other end of the wire using same method as in Step 2.

Told you it was easy.

After the big day, you could package up sets of the rings to give to your bridesmaids or those who helped out in some way as a small token of appreciation.
