Apple-Green

A cool colour always so fresh for spring or summer weddings, or as a lively addition to your autumn or winter palette.

Combine with soft apricot and soft yellow

–       With white, white and more white

–       With lilacs and purples of all shades

–       With magnolia and touches of Indigo

–       With all shades of green

–       With Fairy Floss Pink, Blush Pink, touches of Soft Apricot and white

–       With Azure Blue, Hydrangea Blue and magnolia

–       With Antique Rose and touches of Nude Pink

–       With Watermelon Pink and touches of Sweet Apricot

–       With lots of magnolia and pops of Zesty Orange

–       With Olive Green and Soft Apricot

–       With black and white

–       With Pale Grey, magnolia and tiny touches of Primrose Yellow

–       Green gem stones – Peridot, green topaz,  tourmaline, green sapphires, emeralds

–       Cake – think more subtle touches rather than apple green fondant (which could be rather off putting!) – white fondant with apple green polka dots (of course!), or graduated dark to pale apple green filigree, or a lace design echoing the lace in your dress, think fresh flowers, ferns fronds, moss around the tiers

–       Green and white parrot tulips, orchids, green hydrangeas, fern fronds, chrysanthemums, hellebores, apple mint, white flowers, apple and pear blossom, moss, Granny Smith apples, limes, snowdrops, white berries

–       Think garden wedding (and a Gone with the Wind outdoor feel), all white or bleached wooden furniture, apple green checked tablecloths, green napkins, white crockery, milk glass, white daisies, men in light beige suits, white shirts and green patterned ties, high tea – cucumber sandwiches, beautiful cakes, white chocolate and green pistachio macarons, tiny mouthfuls of yumminess

–       A formal black, green and magnolia wedding – lots of off white, with silver ware, silver candlesticks and compotes, black wine glasses, white crockery with silver edging, green and white floral arrangements in silver vessels, serve apple martinis. Bridesmaids in black, bride in magnolia with black embellishments, black formal suits and bow ties for the men, white bouquets with touches of green, tied with black ribbon

–       A wedding in the country – using the countryside as your inspiration for a colour scheme of apple green, soft yellow (think ripe wheat), soft apricot and touches of soft blue (for our big sky). Armfuls of flowers in full bloom in those colours,  randomly arranged  for that ‘just picked’ look, on tablecloths of green. Your maids in patterned (? a ‘watercolour’ look of all these colours) or each maid wearing a dress in a different colour, all tied together with the same green shoes. Make the most of large country gardens, orchards, rustic fence posts, arbours covered in white wisteria, and great country cooking

–       Other details to consider are green glasses, green toffee apples, apple cakes, apple butter, lime based cocktails, apple shaped biscuits, baskets of apples and limes
