Kellee and Chris

I feel like today is the day for dreamy images, so Anna from Sweet Hope Photography’s wedding “re-do” shoot seemed like the nicest way to bring in a Thursday. You see today’s couple? They went without a professional photographer for their 2005 wedding, so to have some new beautiful photographs taken and to celebrate their love, they dressed up in wedding gear for beautiful wedding photos.

Kellee explains, ‘We were married on the 29th of October 2005 at Surface Hill Uniting church in Gympie – we were the third generation of Chris’ family to marry there. We had no money for our wedding and so had lovely family members do photos for us. My very generous cousin Jodie and her husband Peter filmed the whole wedding and made an edited thing to music and she took photo’s and got a photo book made for us. My sister and step-dad also took photos. My sister made us a little black and white album but all in all we didn’t have a professional photographer!

Then! Five years later I found my special friend Anna who wooed me into the photography world, and suggested a faux wedding shoot and well the rest is history… the most stunning wedding pictures ever!!’

Anna, the photographer explains, “We took the photos at Kellie’s mum and stepdad’s beautiful property at Rush Creek. Al, Kellie’s stepdad, ‘wrangled’ the horses for us and even gave Rusty’s nose a bit of a touch up for his close up (he was looking a little worse for wear!).  The dogs, Arnie and Hilfy, are adored members of the family and it wasn’t even an option NOT to have a photo with them!”

“Kellie’s dress was simple and classic and she wanted to keep that aesthetic whilst adding a little country/vintage twist.  We went and picked out a simple posy of hydrangea’s from the local flower market and Jess from Makeup with Makeup did a beautiful job of enhancing Kellie’s natural beauty with her classic makeup style.”

Anna says “Chris & Kellie were the most delightful, eager clients I’ve ever worked with. They are an absolutely gorgeous couple, as you can see (!), and they’re living out a truly hope-filled marriage.”
