Lauren and David

Oh there is nothing like a wedding in a country garden and today’s is so beautiful I can almost inhale the sweet scent of the roses and hear the string quartet melody floating through the air.

Lauren recalls the story of how her romance with David came to be. “David bumped into his long lost childhood friend whom he had not seen for 15 years while studying at university.  Unbeknown to him or I she immediately began playing matchmaker between us and within 18 months we met one another at her birthday party and the rest is history.”

Photos today are by SugarLove Weddings. I always love the sweetness of SugarLove’s imagery- elegant images with a lot of romance!

Lauren and David held their weekend wedding at Milton Park Country House Hotel. A beautiful all in one venue located just east of Bowral in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales.

Lauren wore a gown designed by Steven Khalil. Her bridesmaids wore mismatched gowns made by Studio Fabrics.

Lauren remarks “My mother hand made my nieces flower girl dresses and seeing them so excited on the day was very special to my family.” The floral arrangements were styled by Twigg & Blossom (Now known as The Potager).

Lauren walked down the aisle to a a local string quartet playing “The Rose” by Bette Midler.

Gumnut Patisserie made the two tier chocolate wedding cake decorated with black ribbon and fresh flowers.

Guests celebrated post dinner in a marquee to the sounds of live band Apples & Pear Entertainment. Lauren recalls “Our first dance was in the marquee attached to the Orangerie and consisted of a slow waltz to “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole.”

Congratulations Lauren and David on your marriage! Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us on Polka Dot Bride! Thank you also to SugarLove Weddings for sharing today’s images!

      Hi Nadean,

Lauren didn’t mention- maybe Studio Fabrics did them? (Hopefully she will see this and respond!)

Have you tried Jennifer Catherine Design? Or Tea Princess, and also try Goo Goo Gear and a brand called Our Small World.

Also try Myer- they seem to have some good ones!

They were made by the bride’s mother. From the article… Lauren remarks “My mother hand made my nieces flower girl dresses and seeing them so excited on the day was very special to my family.”

    Hi Nadean,
Lauren mentions that her mother hand made the flower girl dresses. Formal Kids have some really lovely little dresses (http://www.formalkids.com.au). I absolutely love everything about this wedding, it’s just stunning! Lauren was a beautiful bride and her dress is one of the most stunning designs I’ve seen. Love coming back to this page for inspiration x
