Alana and Kieran

I sighed with happiness when photographer Matthew Evans sent over this delicious engagement shoot – I swear I almost felt the sand between my toes (wishful thinking? Yes, but it’s winter, a girl gets to dream!). Alana and Kieran had an engagement portrait shoot together in Palm Cove and took full advantage of the beautiful location for relaxed, dreamy photographs.

Alana tells their story “Kieran and I have known each other for 8 years and been a couple for 5 and a half years. We originally knew each other through mutual friends and became more than friends after a few weeks of flirting. The problem was that after a week of being together I moved to Fraser Island as I already had flights and a job lined up. I stayed there for about 3 months and missed Kieran so much that I moved back home to be with him.

Kieran proposed to me after a year and a half on a weekend away in Port Douglas. Since then we have travelled the world together and decided to marry at on the beach at Port Douglas, the place we got engaged.

The wedding is a relaxed beach wedding at the Sheraton Mirage, with the ceremony being on the beach and the reception being on an island in the middle the Sheraton Mirage swimming pools.”
