Michael and Olivera
I met my best friend Michael in the year 2002. From then, until now and forever coming he has been my best friend and my strength! We have had so many wonderful moments together over the years that I will keep in my heart forever but I will be honest, we have had some seriously tough times as well; Fighting, screaming, yelling you name it! But even after these moments of turbulence we can sit back, smile, laugh and still know that we love each other so much and could not live without each other. I guess we have kept each other entertained and excited throughout the years to say the least.
At Christmas 2009 Michael asked me to be his wife and I said yes. I had a feeling I would be. From the moment we met.
So the day I will be Michael’s wife is nearly upon me, 23rd October 2011. I have had a lovely 2 years to plan and organise our wedding with freedom, relaxation and a smile on my face. We set ourselves 2 years to make sure we had substantial time to plan everything and make the perfect decisions for us. One thing I did not need time and convincing about was our photographer Leah Kua.
Leah was the first photographer I stumbled upon on the Internet and the only photographer I met in person and after reading her blog and actually meeting her I knew she was the one for us. You see I have this knack for meeting people or things for the first time and knowing they will be the one. This was also the case with my wedding dress. First dress I saw. First dress I tried. I knew it was perfect and the one for me!
So 4 months left of planning and we are starting to get very excited. I look forward to sharing the rest of my plans and inspirations with you as well as my wedding day. But I will leave you now with some photos. The photos are by Leah Kua and they are from our pre-wedding beloved shoot. The shoot was at Corbett Gardens, a park sentimental to both of us. I wanted to express artistically with this shoot so I styled both Michael and I’s outfits and chose the location. The setting and outfits are a representation of our love and youthfulness as well as symbolising our fun and jovial personalities.
Michael and I were very nervous as we didn’t know what to expect and we weren’t sure what we would do with the photos. We are both so glad now that we did it! One thing I will remember and keep in my heart is Michael saying to me, in the car, on the way home from our shoot …
“I thought after all these years we are as close as close can be, but I was wrong, after doing that shoot I feel even closer to you like I have never felt before”.
This made my heart fuzz. I felt the same way.
