The Hello Blossoms team have chosen a winner for their Polka Dot Bride $500 flower giveaway! The  bouquets above are the top three as chosen by Polka Dot Bride readers (you love pink peonies, which is lucky because I do too!)

Congratulations to Sophie W with her entry. “I can’t go past the pink peony bouquet as my favourite! Its simplicity and elegance is so perfect, plus I love how fluffy and soft the flowers look! The different pinks work together so well and it helps to show off each of the beautiful flowers. This is without a doubt my dream wedding bouquet” I will be in touch soon and cannot wait to see your gorgeous wedding flowers!

A big congratulations to the talented Johanna Johnson who dressed Christina Hendricks at the Emmys this week!

Johanna is also about to launch her new online store but in the meantime, to celebrate the Emmys, if you enter JJPROMOTION at checkout in the temporary store, you will receive 10% off any order.

I woke up at 3am this week to be a part of a special sneak peek of the brand new Colin Cowie website and boy, was it worth it!

The website. launching October 16th is jam packed full of amazing inspiration for brides on any budget produced by Colin and his amazing team. Not only that but you can share your inspiration from any website (including his!) with your friends and family (and even group people so some are able to see the dress inspiration but your groom isn’t!). You can even take photos while you’re out and about to add to your collection!

What I love most about the site is the importance Colin places on the groom’s role. I am so tired of seeing the groom treated as an accessory instead of a thinking, feeling human being who is as involved in the wedding as the bride! So there will be lots of information and inspiration for the guys as well!

Check out this special link (just for Polka Dot Bride readers) to sign up for early access to the site as it goes live!

Do you remember Marcela and Felipe’s stunning Chilean wedding? The photographers- Kyle Hepp Photography are heading to Australia and are dying to shoot some Australian weddings!

They’re heading to Australian in September 2012 so are looking for couples marrying in that month. Photography costs will be market rates with no additional travel fees and they want to see as much of Australia as possible (so nowhere is out of bounds!)

Contact them via their website for more information.

Lovely reader Paul shared this video he found of his grandparent’s wedding back in June 1950. It took place in Philadelphia and Paul was able to salvage the film and show it to his grandfather before he passed away.

I love this video – it has that beautiful old school glamour (and look  – bridesmaids in white!) and what a treasure to find for the family!
