Ruth and Guiseppe

I have to admit, Ruth’s infectious grin caught my eye in today’s wedding.. and then I saw her feet and I knew this was a story I wanted to hear! Ruth and Guiseppe had a gorgeous vintage 50’s style wedding filled with personality, laughter and joy.

Ruth explains how she met Guiseppe.  “I was dating Guiseppe’s roommate first, giving it a couple of months later feelings were able to be acknowledged. After being rejected the first time by me during a date, Guiseppe silently withdrew. One more year later I couldn’t handle loosing sleep over him, so I let him know of my feelings and there birthed a relationship that was ordained.”

Today’s photographs are by Tindale Images (making their Polka Dot Bride debut!) I love the absolute warmth and genuine emotion Tindale Images have captured of today’s celebration,. There’s plenty of love, humour and such beautiful imagery.

Ruth paired her strapless Dressense gown with red point shoes she found on eBay.  She recalls, “I wore ruby red ballet points. The idea was to wear cream coloured to match the dress, but it was too difficult and too expensive. While looking on e-bay, I came across red, royal blue, yellow and black ballet points. Without any question the red ones it was! This was then matched up with a red lipstick.”

Ruth’s bridesmaids wore black dresses from Review. The floral arrangements were created by family.

Mini Coopers hired from Hertz were used as transportation. Ruth remarks “To top it all off by absolute fluke, our cars were not colour guaranteed, Hertz couldn’t tell us in advance what colour cars we would get, but as they pulled up our driveway there came a grey one, and black one and then… a red one!!! Much excitement as our day and my colour was all tied together.

Ruth walked down the aisle to “Lullaby” by Bond.

Ruth and Guiseppe were married at Wollongong City Gallery, Ruth remarks “The Gallery had lovely large windows that made the room glow which just added to the moment of the day.”

Ruth says “There are no regrets of the day, it all went smoothly, with much appreciation to all our family and friends who got around us to help on the day and allow it all to go like clock work. Thank you everyone.”

Of their photographers, Ruth says “A wonderful team of caring and encouraging photographers. They allowed us to relax and have a lot of fun all day. Producing fantastic images that we will cherish for a long time to come.” The groom and groomsmen wore suits from Roger David.

Ruth and Guiseppe celebrated with their guests at City Beach Function Centre. Ruth recalls “The Function Centre lit up magically, gorgeous lights everywhere. It didn’t seem too crowded and their service was delightful.”

The two tier wedding cake was made by Emma Braz.

Ruth describes the day as “A glorious day filled with family, friends and most importantly the one we loved.”

Ruth describes the first dance as “Romantic on the star lit dance floor, dancing to a song out of one of the Groom’s favourite movies, Serendipity, ’Moonlight Kiss’ by Bap Kennedy.”

Congratulations on your marriage Ruth and Guiseppe! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Tindale Images for sharing today’s photographs!
