There is a beautiful and classic nature about the old Hollywood style of today’s shoot featuring models Ben Siero and Lucy-May Forbes. It’s full of gorgeous inspiration ideas to style an indoor venue in a way that pulls together all kinds of wonderful moods. A group of Perth wedding professionals came together and pulled together two shoots (we’ll be featuring the next one in a few weeks) that featured vintage, alternative, whimsical and romantic into the one occasion.

Rebecca of Fox and Rabbit explained the concept to me. “This shoot mostly came about due to the First Comes Love – Alternative Bridal Fair; which was where I met most of the vendors for the first time. It is always so refreshing to meet like-minded creative types with a passion to provide alternate wedding options to the Perth market. Initially, it was to be a small collaboration between myself (Fox and Rabbit) and Angela Higgins; who has fast become my favourite wedding photographer for her ability to capture all the finest details to complete perfection. Soon enough the collaboration grew to be quite an event, as wonderful vendors such as Her Hand Picked Harvest, Mitchell and Dent, Milla Makeup and Loui Col come on board.

My intent was to provide two different styles at the same venue and in the same surroundings. I hope to stretch imaginations; opening up the possibility for words such as ‘vintage’, ‘alternative’, ‘whimsical’ and ‘romantic’ to co-exist as one concept. I am particularly proud to showcase wonderful Perth talent and my hat goes off to all of the vendors involved who worked so hard to complete the vision – particularly Angela and the management at The Brown Fox who so generously lent us there venue for an entire day.”

I love this unstructured bouquet – the dreamy, soft colours are so romantic and feminine while being a little whimsical.

A wood carved invitation perhaps? The style of the stationery used throughout the shoot is alternative, a little different- but the font, the words and text placement is so classic that it brings back that Hollywood glamour element and pulls it together.
