Food, for me, is one of the best parts of a wedding and today’s inspiration shoot is a little different- the collaborative team of Karen Buckle Photography, Green & Bloom and Le Petite Meitte The Little Crumb created the scene of stunning garden party. Focusing on the food, the team created a homely style wedding with a delicious, appropriate menu- giving you beautiful inspiration for your own garden celebration (personally I think this would also work for a beautiful summer dinner party!)

Roberta explains “With Spring in the air at the time of the shoot I wanted to create a relaxing, homely, pretty environment, where family and friends could gather over a long afternoon of fabulous wholesome food, and refreshing cool drinks.”

“The inspiration for this shoot started with an eclectic collection of vintage chairs, plates, and silver and crystal vessels along with fresh moss and herbs.”

“I wanted to create an inspiration shoot which included a homely feel through the use of flowers, props, and rustic cooking, to build a unique space which could be re-created for a garden party with the girls, intimate outdoor wedding or spring dinner with the family. ”

“Guests would be served on vintage plates with silver cutlery, reminding you of your grandmothers Sunday best, with colourful fresh florals mixed with herbs and fruit adorning the centre of the tables reminiscent of Grampie’s garden.”

The delicious menu created by Katrina of The Little Crumb

“Slow cooked wagyu and Guinness pies
Honey and rosemary roasted heirloom carrots
Potato, caper and olive salad

Raspberry and hibiscus tarts with dried plum meringue
Cookies n Cream Rocky Road
Assortment of french cheeses and sun-dried persimmons”

“An old wooden table clothed with a vintage crocheted table cloth, and differing wooden chairs set the perfect backdrop for the rustic wholesome menu on offer prepared and designed by the talented Katrina Meynink.”

“Karen Buckle did an amazing job at capturing the beauty of the table setting, using her love of colour and lighting. “
