Belinda and Cameron

A delightful wedding by the water is always beautiful to see and today’s wedding had a backup plan, a backup plan that turned out to be perfect. Perfect for Belinda and Cameron’s wedding day.

Belinda and Cameron met through a mutual friend while both living in Whistler, Canada.

Photos today are by Milk & Honey Photography. I love the soft, classic nature of Milk & Honey’s work. Such a beautiful way to recount a wedding.

Belinda wore a Pronovias gown with a veil by Edna Mavis and vivid blue Manolo Blahnik heels.

The wedding stationery was designed by Paper Fusion.

One of Belinda’s favourite parts of the day was having her daughter involved. She explains “The fact that our daughter was at an age that she could share in our wedding day was also something very special and we love her to pieces – she is the best part of our world we have created together!” Their daughter wore a gown made by a family friend.

The date held special meaning for the couple. Belinda explains “It was on 25th April 2011 (ANZAC Day) which was also the day the Belinda’s grandparents had married on back in 1931…. Hence Belinda’s choice of a 1920’s theme and vintage style.” The bouquets were styled by Floral Vision.

The wedding was held at Newport Mirage. Belinda explains “We had originally planned to have been married at McCarrs Creek Reserve in Church Point but due to the terrible weather, the Newport Mirage location was a last minute decision which we made about and hour and a half before the ceremony! As the bridesmaids and I had spent the evening at the Mirage and were getting ready there – it made perfect sense and the Newport Mirage were amazing in setting up a poolside ceremony for us with very little notice.”

Belinda walked down the aisle to ‘Lamb’ – Gorecki. “A beautiful love song.”

Belinda says “We had chosen a small intimate wedding and our favourite guests ensured it was a fun and memorable occasion. We wouldn’t have changed a single thing – not even the weather!”

Belinda recalls “There was a gorgeous moment during our ceremony when our daughter, Addison decided she didn’t want to miss out on involving herself in our nuptials! So, as we said our I-do’s we had our beautiful girl there at the alter giving us her blessing!”

Of their photographer, Belinda says “Anni had shot Belinda’s sister’s wedding and had also done a number of family photo shoots – so she came very highly recommended! You only have to see Milk and Honey’s phenomenal shots to know you can trust Anni to give you a wonderful account and memories of your special day. The style in which she shoots weddings really suited us too and we are so grateful that we have an album full of all our special moments of our magical day!”

Thew bridesmaids wore black cocktail gowns from Review while the groom and groomsmen wore suits from Stellar Formal Wear.

The weather, turned out to be perfect. Belinda explains “You would expect that the terrible weather would have put a dampener on the day but it honestly didn’t… it added to the wedding madness which turned out to be a picture perfect, amazing day that we will never forget!”

Belinda recalls “Our moments… we just had the best day together! We smiled, we laughed, we danced and we shared our love on a special day which was witnessed by our nearest and dearest – truly magical from start to finish!”

The reception was held at a private residence in Church Point (Belinda’s sister Cara kindly offered her home) which was ideally located half way up the hill providing a nice vantage point over the Pittwater. Belinda recalls “Again, the reception was to be held outside but the weather had other ideas for us so the balcony and living room area provided a nice dry area for our guests and was the perfect space for all the fun and frivolities that went long into the night/early morning!

We are grateful to Cara and Chris for opening their home to our guests – it was a wonderful venue and we appreciate all their effort in making our day perfect”

The first dance was a memorable moment. Belinda notes “As a general rule we don’t dance a lot but our bridal waltz was a moment to remember. Lets just say the groom has two left feet.”

The couple chose a simple cake from Otello Chocolates and Patisserie.

Congratulations Belinda and Cameron! Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us! Thank you also to Milk & Honey Photography for sharing today’s photographs!
