One of our favourite New York stationers is just about to release their 2012 collection and I am so thrilled to show it off for you today! I’ve been working with Bella Figura for many years now and always loved pouring over their designs to create my favourite collection every year.

The 2012 collection has added five new designs and 83 new designs which means Bella Figura now has a massive collection of over 300 different invitations to choose from and creative works from by 31 indie designers

The new collection brings to light beautiful designs from:

Just how much the new collection has evolved, is best explained in luxurious pictures (though let’s face it nothing really beats running your fingers over a letterpress invitation – instead eye candy will have to be a good second best!)

First up – and my favourite! Bella Figura are introducing metallics. There’s twelve different colours to choose from – silver, gold or two tone. You can have foil edging for your invitations or foil stamping to go with your letterpress. You can even choose a colour (Indigo take your fancy? Perhaps teal or fuchsia?) There’s also gorgeous metallic envelopes and liners to choose from.

Next up is the introduction of six new calligraphy styles – bringing Bella Figura’s range up to 22 hand calligraphy styles (and  calligraphy is always a love of mine) because the style can instantly  change the look and feel of your stationery and make it look formal and elegant, or fun and whimsical.

Envelope liners aren’t really used much in Australian weddings, but I have to say I kind of love them. There’s that extra special jolt of colour when you open up this really important invitation that just makes it feel somehow more celebratory. Bella Figura is introducing patterned envelope liners with up to three colours! They even work with the colours of your invitation to create a liner that matches your suite. Which is just an added extra fun feature!

So for those of you who have your finger on the pulse of design, you will know that neon is emerging as a pretty big trend for 2012. While I’m a little traditional and could never pull it off, Bella Figura have taken the vibrant pinks, oranges and greens and created a modern letterpress range in bright punchy colours. They’ll even edge it for you (saves digging out your old highlighter right – just kidding!)

Bella Figura have also introduced custom postage stamp (for those of you in the USA) and a personal shopper service (allowing you to brief the team on your wedding style, colours and details and have them recommend gorgeous invitations that will suit your own personal style)

As for the designs? Here’s just some of my favourites of the 83 new ones they’ve released (every single piece from Bella Figura is completely customisable with fonts, colours, image sizing, motif, type placement you name it).

As always, Bella Figura continues their commitment to the environment by printing on 100% cotton paper made from reclaimed fibres, printing free favor cards if a couple’s wedding favor is non profit and heck, they even print from a carbon neutral wind powered print shop.

With letterpress always being such a favourite in wedding stationery, tell me dotties, which is your favourite design? What do you look for with wedding stationery?
