Nikki and Ed
Nicolle Versteeg sent over this Matilda Bay engagement shoot of Nikki and Ed. Nikki tells their story. “Ed and I are both doctors and we met three and half years ago at the hospital when I literally ran into him, which wasn’t particularly smooth! Ed had just come out to Perth (got off the plane only a couple of days prior) from England for a working holiday for a year, but has stayed on since then – an unfortunate side effect of meeting an Aussie girl. ”
“Ed proposed on the beach at Bunker Bay, on a weekend away – we’re lucky enough to be having two weddings, a very small, intimate ceremony in Perth in April where we will be legally, officially married. The second wedding is a couple of weeks later in England at an old country house hotel which will be the big ‘white wedding’ event so that all of Ed’s family and friends who miss him while he’s been hiding out here with me get to share in our special day. ”
“We chose to have photos taken at UWA and Matilda Bay because I went to university at UWA and Ed loves the beautiful buildings on the gorgeous campus. Matilda Bay has been a place where we have had some lovely times, just sitting down, having a picnic and reading a book by the beautiful Swan River that is so central to our beautiful city.”
