Wedding Binder by Russell + Hazel

I have a little wedding planning wisdom to share. The secret to the perfect wedding celebration isn’t the gorgeous dress and beautiful bouquet, nor is it the delicious canapés and delightful cocktails… although all are high up on my list! Instead, the key to wedding nirvana is quite possibly currently floating around in the bottom of your handbag or shoved in the back of your desk drawer… your wedding paperwork. Yep afraid so – I know it isn’t pretty, but on that fiddly pile of paper and receipts your beautiful wedding will be built!

The path to wedding planning perfection starts in the stationery aisle at Officeworks – let’s purchase a folder and dividers and get things in order!

The key sections in your ‘Wedmin’ folder will be:

Venue information

From the venue capacity and menu options to the corkage fees ~ every little detail in relation to your gorgeous venue.

Guest list – RSVP’s

Keeping track of all of the RSVP’s you receive will ensure that you are always up-to-date on guest numbers.

Dietary requirements

Make your guests feel extra special by ensuring that their dietary requirements are noted and passed onto your venue / caterer. The majority of caterers and venues are more than happy to arrange for different meals / options if required – gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, you name it!

Wedding suppliers – quotes & contact details

Obtaining supplier quotes will enable you to compare a number of suppliers for each service {from caterers to photographers} to ensure that you choose the best one for your big day.

Wedding suppliers – signed contracts and agreements

With your fabulous suppliers chosen, and the contracts thoroughly reviewed and signed. It is now time to add the signed agreements to your ‘wedmin’ folder. It is also a good time to detail any deposits and future payment dates in on your calendar {an old school wall number, or Outlook, whichever works for you!}.

What you have spent to date and any receipts

Pop a plastic sleeve in the folder to hold all wedding-related receipts and order details, not the glamorous side of things but you will be so thankful when you quickly need to get your hands on the order number for your fabulous birdcage veil!

Happy planning x

Ms Gingham says: I actually find the idea of getting organized quite exciting. The process of buying a special folder, keeping things together and feeling on top of things is quite liberating!
