Camilla & Michael

A beautiful Byron Bay wedding today infused with a bit of Britain! The celebration of Camilla and Michael’s marriage is intimate and elegant- with plenty of personal touches and love. The love that is evident in their photographs.

They tell their story for us. “Michael and Camilla met in a little bar in Clapham, South London in March 2009. Camilla had been living in London for 6 months and Michael had only just moved over to the UK, from Australia. They got together more or less straight away following their first date and after a period of dating, moved in together in East London. Following a trip to Australia in May 2011, the couple decides to relocate to Australia which they did in the September of last year. The couple spent the first 6 months of their time here with Michael’s family in far north Queensland.

Now Michael surprised Camilla with his proposal last November after he returned from a week-long work trip away – they drove down to Mission beach, enjoyed a delicious meal and then went for a moon lit walk along the beach – As Michael got down on one knee Camilla said she couldn’t believe what was happening and wanted to remember every detail – the next thing she knew Michael said ‘ok let me try that again’ because Camilla – a little stunned -hadn’t said a word!! She finally worked it out and …well ..we all know the answer was yes! The couple then began planning their Byron Bay wedding and, having met in London, a British themed wedding seemed the obvious choice and a fun one at that. ”

Photographs are by ngg studios who take such graceful, peaceful photographs. Just the right mood for Camilla and Michael’s celebration!

Camilla and Michael chose The Fig Tree, Byron Bay for their wedding celebrations.

“Sometimes we don’t say a word.
If I am a goofus on the roofus hollering my head off,
You are one too.
HOORAY!
That’s because you really like me.
You really like me, don’t you?
And I really like you back.
And you like me back and I like you back.
And that’s the way we keep on going every day.

If you go away, then I go away too;
or if I stay home, you send me a postcard.
I like you a lot because of that.
If I go away, I send you a postcard too.

If you find two four-leaf clovers, you give me one.
If I find four, I give you two.
If we only find three, we keep on looking.
Sometimes we have good luck,
and sometimes we don’t.

I like you because
I don’t know why
but everything that happens is nicer with you.
I can’t remember when I didn’t like you.
It must have been lonesome then.
I forget why I like you, but I do.
So many reasons.

If we had some hats and some flags
and some fire engines,
We could be a HOLIDAY.
We could be a CELEBRATION.
We could be a WHOLE PARADE.
See what I mean?
Even if it was the 999th of July,
I would go on choosing you.
And you would go on choosing me.
Over and over again.
That’s how it would happen every time.
I don’t know why.
I guess I don’t know why I really like you.
Why do I like you.
I guess I just like you. because I like you.”
