All things vintage the quintessential Flos Florum Bridal bouquet

By the time summer is on our doorstep traditional field grown Garden Roses enjoying the late spring sunshine and tease of summer warmth make a welcome appearance for the full, flouncy and perfectly pretty November brides. And as December creeps closer to the start of the New Year the vivid and vibrant colours and textures of native flowers with Leucaspermum pinwheels, Banksias, Waratahs and Gumnuts work beautifully for those brides wanting an earthy Australian styled wedding.

This is the time of the year when we Flossies are in heaven…Garden roses, David Austins, Hybrid Teas; we just can’t get enough. Summertime is the perfect time to get excited about roses; “proper” roses, the type that fill the room with that delicate, sweet and perfectly perfumed fragrance.

If you’re the bride that has to have garden roses as no other flower will quite match the perfection of David Austin roses, then you have to get married in summer or early autumn. Summertime brides wanting to create the full and flouncy look can also look to the wondrous Hydrangea in whites, pinks, mauves, greens and blues; there is something to suit most colour schemes. For the pretty “English” garden look you can’t go past using Dahlias, Lissianthus, Delphiniums, Tuberose and Bouvardia with pretty colours, textures and perfumes.

For the more contemporary bride Calla Lilies, Mollucca Balm, Lotus Pods and orchid varieties including Phaleanopis and Vanda orchids make a great choice.
