This gorgeous welcome to Summer shoot, comes to us as a collaboration between Silk Truffle Photography – Jessica Ruisan  and Elaine of Butterfly Philosophy Design. I love the use of colour at weddings and this shoot combined beautiful displays of pastel hues without turning into a rainbow. Instead it’s beautifully Spring or Summer and in the garden setting provides such lovely inspiration for a warmer weather wedding.

Photographer Jess explains. “The concept was a joint collaboration organised by myself and Elaine from Butterfly Philosophy Design. Together we collaborated with a talented team on a bridal shoot that used loads of colours including pastels in peaches/pinks/creams with big pops of coral, fuchsia, yellow and oranges. The girls sat alongside the sweet treat area, which included a gorgeous cake, macarons, cupcakes and cake pops to snack on while chatting, having a laugh and a great time. Our shoot aesthetic was slightly vintage, free spirited and most of all fun as you can see as the girls playing with hula-hoops and their croquet sets. Who says you can’t play games on your wedding day? ”

Sweet Bloom Cakes  created the three tier ombre wedding cake.

The models wore gowns from Lilli Marcs.

Jessica remarks, “Joy is such an overwhelming, powerful and wonderful emotion and we really wanted to create a shoot that brought that feeling to life. If you could see, taste, and touch joy, what would it be like? Colourful florals were a must, as well as balloons, amazing sweet treats and other fun-filled elements! ”

Makeup by Megan   & Melissa Cauchi Hairdressing styled fresh makeup and hair looks for the models.

Butterfly Philosophy Design put together bunches of colourful yet modern blooms.
