It’s time for our annual tradition! Our celebrity wedding countdown! (Check out 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007 countdowns!). The day of the year when I look back at some of my favourite or most notable celebrity weddings of the year gone by!

Who were your favourites in 2012?

Margherita Missoni & Eugenio Amo

Kicking off our countdown- the wedding of Margherita Missoni & Eugenio Amo. The gown was always going to be stunning and stunning it was! Tying in with Margherita’s own personal gyspy inspired style, her gown (which friend Giambattista Valli helped design) featured dramatic sleeves and floral detailing. The ceremony was held in the Italian town of Brunello with the reception on a nearby farm, entertained by a gypsy band and acrobats.

Anne Hathaway & Adam Shulman

The lovely Anne Hathaway married actor and jewellery designer Adam Shulman in Big Sur, California. Anne wore a designer gown from Valentino which featured a blush pink train. 250 guests celebrated the wedding weekend which had a “natural, simple” vibe.

Prince Guillaume and Stephanie de Lannoy

Oh I’m not sure I will ever tire of royal weddings! Prince Guillaume and Stephanie de Lannoy of Luxemburg chose October for their marriage with the bride wearing an elbow length, classic ballgown by Ellie Saab with a four metre train. The guests celebrated over two days culminating in a a gala dinner reception.

Kyly Boldy & Michael Clarke

The bride wore Alex Perry, the wedding photos were released on Twitter and there was even a horse! Such was the wedding of Kyly Boldy to Australian cricketer Michael Clarke. Wolgan Valley played host to the couple’s guests who chose Autumn for their very secret and intimate wedding.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

I’ll add a snapshot of this wedding as soon  as they’re released, but until then, we’ll have to imagine! Planner Tara Guérard coordinated the big day of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds which was said to be a romantic barn wedding.  The bride wore Marchesa and the wedding took place in South Carolina.

Drew Barrymore & Will Kopelman

Oh I do love Drew! Drew married in a custom made Chanel gown at a marquee wedding at her Californian home. The reception was cocktail, complete with an 80’s band that kept guests on the dance floor all night. Baby Olive arrived before the year was out!

Natalie Portman & Benjamin Millepied

Natalie Portman married Benjamin Millepied and were another celebrity couple to choose Big Sur, California for their wedding day. Natalie made an unusual choice with her long sleeve, tea length Rodarte wedding gown. The couple married in a traditional Jewish ceremony and guests enjoyed a vegetarian feast at the reception before dancing until the wee hours of the morning.

Kate Waterhouse & Luke Ricketson

Kate Waterhouse married Luke Ricketson in an Italian destination wedding at the  San Guiseppe church in Taormina. 50 guests celebrated for a week before the couple tied the knot. The bride wore Vera Wang and her bridesmaids wore nude coloured Carla Zampatti gowns.

Jessica Biel & Justin Timberlake

The two actors had such a fun wedding, The bride wore a pink Giambattista Valli gown while the groom went for a classic bow tie and tuxedo custom designed by Tom Ford. Their guests were flown to Puglia in Southern Italy for the wedding. Jessica walked down the aisle to a ballad written by Justin and celebrated with guests in a week long celebration.

Jodi Gordon & Braith Anasta

Jodi Gordon wore a J’Aton gown as she wed Braith Anasta in Bali. Her gown is rumoured to have taken a team of six, three hundred hours to complete! Jodi and Braith wed in front of 120 guests with the groom in blue. The bridal party wore grey gowns and suits.

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan

It’s not often we post a celebrity wedding where the groom is the one we know (why is that? no idea!) but this wedding of Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook was a talking point of the year. Priscilla wore an elegant Claire Pettibone gown as the couple married in their backyard in Palo Alto. 100 guests attended the big day.

Holly Valance & Nick Candy

Australia Holly Valance wed Nicky Candy in a J’Aton gown in Beverly Hills. The groom wore a velvet tuxedo from Dolce & Gabbana and the couple celebrated with 300 guests. The couple hosted a wedding weekend including a dinner in Malibu and recovery BBQ. Guests were transported in buses to the venues for the garden wedding.
