Jake and Erin

Jake and I met 12 years ago at a nightclub I had to wait 10 years for him to finally propose. He proposed to me on New Years Day with a cake that was Tiffany & Co that said “Erin Marry Me” on it. We finally tied the knot on Friday 12th October 2012 in Melbourne.

The cermony was at St Augustine’s in Keilor and the reception was held at Meadowbank Receptions in Campbellfield.

We had a very casual wedding as we wanted our guest to relax and enjoy the day and night. We decided not to have a bridal party just having our nephews and niece in the wedding party at the ceremony and my sister and Jake’s brother as our witnesses. The bouquets were by Ambrosia.

Our priest was the hit of the the night he even got up at the reception to sing us a song as he is a recording artist.

We decided not to go with the traditional cake and instead we had a Gingerbread house as we both love gingerbread and thought that it was appropriate as we had just bought a house before our wedding.

Ms Gingham says: I just love gingerbread and I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who doesn’t. A gorgeous personal touch!

Erin says: “I am 33 years old, live in Melbourne & recently got married to Jake. We have been dating for 11 years so it was about time we tied the knot!”
