Happy Monday Dotties! We had a bit of a special day yesterday and I’m excited that we’re now full throttle into January!

If you’re newly engaged or putting the finishing touches on your wedding, our Monday morning tradition of spotlight our fantastic wedding directory members may be just what you’re looking for!

We add brand new vendors to our directory every week. We have such a wide range of talented, passionate wedding professionals who love what they do and are brilliant at it to boot! From Hair & Beauty, Celebrants, Photography, Venues and Wedding Planners to help you pull it all together, there is someone with a style to suit your own!

With the Summer sun belting down, it seems appropriate to take a little trip up north and meet the Whitsundays based wedding photographer Lisa Michele Burns Photography. Lisa captures the amazing scenery of the islands so incredibly (her photographs always make me wish i was lucky enough to have an office on the beach!) and with all that water, sun and sand she’s also just the right choice for destination weddings (she will happily jet across the oceans for European weddings too!). Added to that, she’s just lovely and personality? that can seal the deal!

We asked Lisa from Lisa Michele Burns Photography five questions in five minutes –

What is your favourite after five drink?

Any cocktail that looks like a sunset in a glass or a Savignon Blanc…but only ever one drink or I’m asleep 🙂

Your favourite weekend getaway?

Usually my weekends are spent shooting weddings but if they’re on a beach in the Whitsundays it sometimes feels like a little holiday…otherwise Aix en Provence where my partner is from in the south of France is perfect for weekends away!

Favourite restaurant?

Yamamori, Dublin. The best Japanese outside of Japan!

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Macadamia and Honey cereal with a giant mug of green tea…note the giant mug, no regular sized mug will do.

Your favourite wedding story?

I’m a sucker for long distance love stories and recently photographed a wedding where the couple were childhood sweethearts at 16 then separated when their families moved towns. They didn’t contact each other until they randomly ran into each other again after 20years apart, they were even living on different sides of the world…and now they’re married. So romantic, just like the movie Serendipity!
