Hello Dotties! I do admit this post is written a little earlier than Monday, being a public holiday and all! I am so currently overwhelmed with all the big projects we have underway here at Polka Dot HQ! I’m really thankful for the patterned people because there is certainly a buzz of excitement in the air!

Kicking off our week wouldn’t be right without exploring our  wedding directory, Ms Polka Dot’s Directory. Every week we showcase the work of our of our directory members in a dedicated post. We have fabulous  Bridal Gowns, Venues, Favors & Decor Accessories Cakes and so much more for you to peruse. Pages filled with passionate vendors who love what they do (the very best kind!)

Watching wedding films is one of my favourite things, give me tissues though because I will probably cry and make sure my cardi is near because goosebumps will happen. There is something magical about watching a wedding day unfold in motion- the bride’s face as she gets ready. The speeches and the reactions they get from the wedding guests. The choking up over the wedding vows.

So I’m excited to show off the work of Perth based White Box Studio who can capture all of this and plenty more for your wedding day. White Box Studio has eight years experience with film, shoots all day and night and takes only a select number of bookings a year to ensure they’re always at their freshest for their next wedding!

We asked Joshua from White Box Studio five questions in five minutes –

What is your favourite after five drink?

I do fancy the odd mojito.

Your favourite weekend getaway?

Margaret River, where else!

Favourite restaurant?

I’m a sucker for all things French, so L’Hermitige in Nedlands makes this an easy choice.

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Nothing beats fresh coffee and my lovely girlfriend’s poached eggs with spinach in the comfort of our home. Best enjoyed sitting out in the garden, music playing and sun shining.

Your favourite wedding story?

When I first started doing wedding videos, I was fortunate enough to film a beautiful couple I’ll never forget. The groom unfortunately was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and had almost no immune system. They said he was only going to live a few more months. He was told by the doctors to only attend the ceremony, due to the risk of exposure to germs. He ignored this advice, and essentially risked his life to stay on throughout the photo shoot until the reception, where he delivered an incredibly heartfelt speech. The speech had the entire audience in tears, including myself. He was pained to have to leave his wife on his wedding night, but unfortunately his illness prevented him from staying. I am very happy to have learnt that the groom is still alive today, several years later. 🙂
