Bianca and Anthony

Today’s wedding feels like a fairytale – from the bride’s antique tiara, passed down to her, to the gorgeous green forest backdrop that makes it feel magical, almost mystical.

Bianca kicks off the story with the tale of how they met. “Anthony and I are high school sweet hearts. We first met by myself asking Anthony out for one of my friends. With his response being a no, we then began getting close and the rest is history.”

The magical captures today are from Richard Grainger.

The wedding was very much a family affair Bianca telling, “My mum made our wedding cake and Anthony’s little sister decorated it. It was two of our favourite cakes – baked cheesecake for the bottom tier, carrot cake for the second tier and sponge cake and topped off with a bride and groom in a tractor as the cake topper.”

Bianca chose a strapless gown byHills In Hollywood. She remembers,”My tiara was my something old and something borrowed. It was Anthony’s grandma’s which she wore on her wedding day, 47 years ago. I feel in love with it as soon as I saw it. It went so perfectly with my dress, it was as if it was made for it. It was such a honour to be able to wear it.”

Ecostudio Fellini was chosen as the wedding venue. Bianca remarking, “We had our ceremony and reception and Ecostudio Fellini and once we viewed it we knew we had found the perfect place. It is a gorgeous venue secluded in the Gold Coast hinterland. Our ceremony was filled with romance with a open air chapel surrounded by hinterland and running creek. We wanted a relaxed reception and the staff made it happen. With relaxing drinks on the lower deck to dance offs on the top deck there was more than enough room to move.”

The bouquets were made by Bianca’s mother, Bianca explaining, “My awesome mum made the grooms and groomsmens’ button holes and the bride and bridesmaids’ button bouquet from buttons collected from our grandmother, great grandmother and Aunt.”

“Anthony and I have a saying that we’ve said to one another forever and a day. ‘You are my Patrick to my Spongbob’. Writing our own vows we were able to incorporate it in my vows and also had it engraved in Anthony’s wedding ring.”

Of their photographer, Bianca says “Richie is an amazing photographer. We have never met someone who is so passionate with his work as much as he is. He sees an image in his head and he captures it on his camera. We never felt like we had a photographer there, he was more like a friend. His photographs are straight out of a fairy tail! We are so blessed to have had him capture our special moment.”

Instead of a guestbook. Bianca and Anthony had a canvas for guests to write on decorated with beads and lace.

For their first dance, Bianca remembers, “Our first dance was really a moment for us to “catch up” on the day. We both filled each other in with who said what and who did what. As many people as there where in the room, it felt like it was just us.”

Bianca loved the father daughter dance, remarking, “I don’t get to spend much time with my dad as he’s interstate, so the father -daughter dance is something that I’m going to keep close to my heart.”
