(Catch Industrial Style Melbourne Wedding Venues, Sydney Industrial Wedding Venues and Adelaide Industrial Wedding Venues) we continue our hunt today by hitting up Queensland industrial wedding venues! Industrial spaces have such a beautiful rawness to them and provide a blank canvas for just about any style of wedding with a modern edge.

Stunning Lightspace is definitely a contender for the incredible industrial vibe. Located in Fortitude Valley, the converted warehouse venue features polished concrete floors and allows couples to bring in their own caterer and suppliers. There are two spaces which can be combined allowing for a range of 80-250 guests for a sit down dinner or 250-500 for a cocktail function.

Brisbane Powerhouse has an incredible range of spaces to choose from for functions- the rooftop terrace right on the river is just the ticket for your ceremony, while the aptly named “Graffiti Room” is perfect for intimate sit down dinners. Exposed brick, cement floors and the remnants of the once used power station make Brisbane Powerhouse a beautiful industrial wedding space.

The RNA Showgrounds provide a number of industrial style wedding spaces, kicking off with the John Reid Pavilion & Annex. The space is enormous- able to hold 2000 guests for a cocktail function while closing off to the annex itself provides a more intimate feel. Exposed ceilings, cement floors and untouched, exposed walls create the industrial setting only 15 kms from the airport.

Building No 7 is another space at RNA Showgrounds that lends itself to industrial style weddings. With a 600 person capacity for cocktail functions the venue is wide, open and lofty with open beams, rustic cement floors and blank walls. Stockman’s Rest sits just outside in the showgrounds, a beautiful garden spot for your ceremony surrounded by six magnificent fig trees.

The Block – QUT offers up an incredible blank canvas with an industrial vibe for your wedding venue. No furniture is provided so everything you want to bring is is up to you. The space can hold 180 guests for a banquet style function of 300 for cocktail celebrations. Cement floors, blank walls and high ceilings lend themselves to the blank canvas of an industrial space with lighting rigs all set to go.

Queensland Art Gallery

I do love art galleries as blank, modern industrial style spaces and while Queensland Art Gallery is perhaps more on the modern edge than raw, industrial it does offer that blank canvas. exposed building feel that industrial spaces. The watermall itself can accommodate 250 guests and has beautiful huge pylons, water features and art beautifully curated across the walls. Contemporary blank spaces and the elegant art gallery twist.

The Hi-Fi

Located in Brisbane’s West End, The Hi-Fi has a huge capacity of 800 guests or can be broken down into individual spaces. The venue is split over two levels and has a dedicated event manager and in house lighting and sound management. As it’s predominantly a live gig venue, there’s a grungy, industrial vibe at The Hi-FI – something different with an edge.

Studio Thirteen
