There is something so easy and free when it comes to the bohemian wedding. This inspired shoot from the talented team of photographer Lindy Photography, stylist Splash Events, hair & makeup artist Vicki at Silk Hair and Makeup and florist Flax Flower took place overlooking the water at Culgoa Resort.

The team wanted to create an inspired wedding shoot around the style of Hippie Boho Chic , stating,  “Feeling of unconventional, gypsy-like decor and eclectic elements. Free flowing floral, nomadic, free-spirited and hippie meets gypsy. Elements that fit an artistic, artisan or hand-crafted feel. This style is not polished, it brings in elements of natural fibres, natures elements and layered textures.” Using embroidery hoops, sea shells, white toned furniture and free flowing elements, the style remains relaxed yet beautifully stylish.

Starting with the makeup,  styled by Vicki at Silk Hair and Makeup, Lindy tells, “We chose tousled long wavy curls softly cascading for a very feminine young bridal look. Gentle and Natural toned makeup with smokey eyes enhanced as the main feature.” The group sourced a gown from Angels Noosa, Lindy noting “A stunning J’adore spring collection gown with floaty ruffled shoulder detail and soft flowing material. Perfect for a beach wedding.”

Flowers in tones of white were styled by Flax Flower ” We used white lily of the valley shrub, sweet peas, spray roses, white Geraldton wax and freesias. For the canopy,  arum lillies, erlicheer (jonquils), stock and Geralton wax.”

“Natural gum portico with muslin and lace top canopy adorned with elements from the ocean shores, textile strips and handcrafted shell hangings. White wooden benches with eclectic cushions and casual wicker arm chairs for guest seating, Large shells aligning the aisle. Large hand crafted dream catcher hangs in the Pandanus tree.”

For her own photography style for the shoot, Lindy tells “To bring a hazy, beachy feel to the images I have overexposed and blown out the highlights. This creates a soft, romantic and dreamy quality just perfect for beach weddings on a gorgeous sunny spring day.”
