Happy Monday Dotties! I hope you had a lovely weekend. we might actually be feeling Spring this week down here, so as much as I adore Winter there may be a bit of a Spring in my step! Last week was a little nuts at Polka Dot HQ with broken legs,  birthdays, post shoot organising, new site building (so long in the making and I think we might be on the down hill stretch!) and dental visits in amongst work so I am looking forward to making this week a little more about fun things!

Monday morning tradition at Polka Dot Bride is to showcase our fabulous members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory.  From Bridal Gowns to Venues to Photography and even Catering! Pop on over and see our fantastic vendors, we’re working hard to fill our directory pages with talented people that you can sit down and share a laugh with, feel like they have your wedding in the bag and are genuinely wonderful people!

tres inviting wedding invitations

Stationery is always a weakness of mine and Très Inviting has it down pat with everything from wedding invitations to baby cards and even moving house announcements! Owner Kate works with her clients to customise their invitation design to their own colours, fonts and and wording suiting your own personal style. She’ll work on three sets of proofs and even has a full suite of stationery – including menus and placecards to match the designs!

We asked Kate from Très Inviting five questions in five minutes –

What is your favourite after five drink?

I’m trying to be super-healthy at the moment, so avoiding most things alcoholic – boring I know, but I am loving a traditional, cloudy lemonade (especially if it involves a paper straw and mason jar).

Your favourite weekend getaway?

My husband and I spent many of our earlier weekends together up at Pacific Palms/Bluey’s Beach so we try and get back there as much as we can.

Favourite restaurant?

I can’t go past Rustica – amazing food with stunning views over Newcastle Beach. http://www.rustica.com.au

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Talulah, a gorgeous restaurant in The Junction. The Chinese Fried Eggs are to die for! http://talulahbar.com.au/home/

Your favourite wedding story?

One of my clients got married under a gorgeous tree along the Newcastle Foreshore. The following weekend there was a storm and the tree was destroyed. I know some people wouldn’t think that this is a good story, but the part that makes it a favourite of mine is the fact that their ceremony location was original and a one-off – something that is often hard to create.
