It’s not often a Groom’s memories from his wedding day get me teary-eyed (wistful and a bit damp, but rarely teary), but reading Groom Alexey’s memories from his Romantic Brisbane Wedding to bride Julia certainly had me with a lump in my throat. Just to share the couple’s story for some reference,  the wedding had been two years in the planning, and unfortunately, three months before the wedding Julia was diagnosed with cancer (advanced Hodgkins lymphoma). She had to start treatment immediately. Taking everything in her stride, Julia was a beautiful glowing bride, and Alexey shares with us his special moment.

“Jules planned the whole thing (with the help of the wonderful Danielle (from white+white ). It was absolutely perfect. So elegant yet understated. Looking back, there is honestly not a single detail I would change about the day. The most memorable part of the day was just that Jules was able to be there. I wouldn’t have cared if she had walked down the aisle bald, wearing a hospital gown and wheeling an IV pole. She still would have been the most beautiful bride in the World, and I still would have been standing at the end of that aisle waiting to marry her.”
