Dora and Luka

Dora and Luka were so enchanted by the sweet village of Daylesford when they first visited, they  knew it was the place they had to be married. Joseph Koprek captured their day, which took place at the stunning Lake House, Daylesford. The couple, who married by the lake invited their many overseas guests to a weekend celebration, soaking in the peaceful surrounds..

Dora and Luka met through a common university friend, and researched many South East Asia wedding venues for a destination wedding before deciding there was no place like home.

Dora chose a classic strapless gown from Mariana Hardwick.

Dora walked down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Canon In D.

On their choice of Lake House, Daylesford for their wedding, Dora tells, “We loved the yesteryear European charm and romantic lavender farm Lavendula. We also wanted a venue that would provide high quality catering for our guests – Lake House was an obvious choice. We were also convinced after meeting the Lake House Team.”

The couple performed a traditional tea ceremony during the western ceremony.

Of their photographer, Dora tells, “I looked at many photographers before deciding on Joseph Koprek due to the beautiful images and album he creates for weddings of all different settings. Very talented, friendly, professional. He was helpful on the wedding day – helping us with the ties, bridal gown and train. I would definitely recommend to all my friends.”

Each table was named after a destination the newlyweds had traveled to together. Guests received handmade candied walnuts made by the bride as wedding favors.

Of their first dance, after changing into a red dress, Dora remembers, “Luka hates dancing but he did not protest too much to keep the tradition of first dance. We decided on the song Stand by Me and went to four dancing lessons.”

Congratulations on your marriage Dora and Luka! Thank you for sharing your day with us! Thank you also to Jospeh Koprek for sharing today’s images!
