Oh Monday! You won’t believe what a busy weekend I had! From engagement celebrations (yay!) to shopping expeditions and plenty of car action (happy Grande Prix weekend!) Was your weekend as action packed as mine? Where did you go? What wedding plans did you tick off your list?

Monday morning at Polka Dot Bride means one thing- spotlight, celebrating and dancing with the members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory.  We are growing so fast with our directory that we can barely keep up – we make sure to close off categories when they hit a certain number so you as a couple looking for a vendor aren’t overwhelmed by pages and pages of vendors. So with that being said, I think it’s worthwhile checking out our incredible wedding florists, caterers, wedding stylists and of course- venues.

Click on over and see our fantastic vendors. We love what they do, we champion what they do because we truly believe in their work and I’d love for you to see just how fantastic they are!

Wedding films remain one of my favourite ways to curl up with a cup of tea. There are always guaranteed tears, because I am me and a good wedding film makes me cry. So let me introduce you to one of the new, talented crews that have popped up, the incredible Love Storm Films! They set out to create wedding films with passion and soul- no two are crafted the same, they don’t want to do the same old films you know, they want to create films that inspire you, move you and capture your day in an honest way.

We asked Shae from Love Storm Films five questions in five minutes –

What is your favourite after five drink?

I make a killer punch with champagne, vodka, fruit juice and strawberries. It goes down a treat when the Love Storm team get together for Friday afternoon drinks!

Your favourite weekend getaway?

We are obsessed with the Southern Highlands. The people are so lovely, the scenery is beautiful, there are some amazing wedding venues and it’s the perfect place to get away for the weekend to just relax.

Favourite restaurant?

Selahs at Circular Quay. My hubby and I went there on our first date, the food is amazing and the staff are really sweet. They always remember us when we go back!

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

If we’ve had a wedding the day before and it’s been a late night, I order myself some sweet corn fritters from the café down the road. Yum!

Your favourite wedding story?

We were lucky enough to film Rachael Finch and Michael Miziner’s wedding earlier this year, (Rach won Miss Universe in 2009). It was a super moving ceremony, there wasn’t a dry eye around, then their two dogs brought the rings down the aisle and it was a really special moment.
