If your schedule is as crazy as mine then you too will have experienced the disappointment of missing out on a weekend bridal fair. Why are they always held on the same weekend as Aunty Betty’s 80th birthday, a work commitment or the one weekend that you can’t get all the girls together? Well, Brisbane brides relax, you now have the perfect solution… The Brides Market.

The Bride’s Market is a permanent one-stop shop, set up to inspire and guide visitors through all those important wedding planning decisions. From the dress, to invitations, to photography and everything in-between. The Bride’s Market is a treasure trove of wonderful local wedding suppliers.

The creative boutique is the brain child of bridal designer Jennifer Gifford, who wanted to create a unique venue where you can find your favourite wedding vendors and those you had no idea existed. “The creative retail space is designed to benefit both vendors and brides alike” says Jennifer. “It’s a romantic space to help brides and grooms plan their wedding, and to help vendors realise their business goals and dreams.”

To help celebrate her own business dream, Jennifer recently invited a handful of her friends and local wedding suppliers along to a fabulous launch party to showcase the unique boutique.

Before the doors were officially opened on the launch night, guests sipped on refreshing rustic citrus spritz drinks served from the most sort-after little caravan in town, Hello Mr Jenkins. Once I finally detached myself from the service bar of Mr Jenkins (I seriously adore this divine mobile bar), inside there was an excited buzz as guests mingled and celebrated the wonderful talent on display. From Christies Millinery, to Will Valor menswear’s, Lester and May Films and Hope and Lace wedding planning… everything you need to plan your wedding day filled the room.

Vistors to the boutique will be able to relax in the luxurious styling suite where a selection of designer gowns are on display and available for purchase. Alongside the glittering rack of hanging gowns is a display of the most spectacular whimsical bridal headwear that you will ever find. Shut The Front Door creates stunning bespoke bridal head pieces that will take your breath away (and ones I think the designer thought I was going to runaway with! Seriously difficult to put down). And once you’ve caught your breath you can continue to peruse the quaint space and decide on which photographer will capture your beauty… Willow & Sage, Alyce and Colette or Lara and Susie Photography? They were all inspiring.
