What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Your favourite wedding story?

I know a celebrant who described a very stubborn bride and groom, who wanted to be married outside, no matter what. While I can personally relate to this, since we had planned an outdoor ceremony for my own wedding, I was amazed to hear the lengths to which this couple went to prevent moving their ceremony inside in the face of dire weather predictions (i.e. the clouds were gathering and it was obvious it would start to rain). Suffice it to say, there was an indoor room at their venue that sported a surveillance camera. The footage showed the rain starting outside, and a completely deserted room. All at once, wedding guests were rushing inside with chairs, drenched with rain. Once everyone was seated, in walked the bride, completely dry, while her poor guests had caught the brunt of the storm.
As for my own wedding, my husband had to be convinced that the black storm clouds over the Yarra Valley were heading our way. It was lucky he was swayed, as our ceremony was accentuated with crashes of thunder. This was a December wedding mind you, so to all the couples out there planning an outdoor wedding at any time of year – you must have an indoor alternative!
