Happy Monday Dotties! I may be secretly hoping for snow this week (and I know Ms Gingham is, with a trip to the New Zealand snowfields next week!) Meanwhile, I’m just scooping up as many warm things as I can find- coffee, candle, snoods!

We kick off every Monday by showing off the amazing vendors in Ms Polka Dot’s Directory! Growing every day we have so many vendors that I adore! From Wedding Planners to Cinematography to Hair & Beauty and even Gift Registries! We work hard to make sure we add vendors from all kinds of prices points and styles so there is something for everyone! Check out Ms Polka Dot’s Directory!  to find the wedding vendor you dreamed of!

lord coconut mens accessoriesWhen it comes to unique accessories for men, stylish options that have a high sense of design can be hard to find. But that’s not the case with mens’ jeweller Lord Coconut! Specialising in wedding rings, Lord Coconut showcases the work of over 40 Australian independent jewellers who produce high quality, original pieces. From traditional, simple bands to ones engraved with fingerprints, wood grain, string style texture – even teeny tiny sprockets! Each piece is an individual as its wearer!

But of course wedding rings aren’t all that they sell – carefully designed cufflinks (including quirky ones like teeth, perfect for the dentist groom perhaps?), bracelets, cuffs, earrings and even tie pins are all on offer!

Lord Coconut has a Melbourne store but also ships Australia wide!

We asked Mark from Lord Coconut five questions in five minutes –

What is your favourite after five drink?
Sailor Gerry Rum and Ginger Beer………………….takes me back to 50’s, tiki bars and women wearing coconuts as bra’s!

Your favourite weekend getaway?
Visiting our ‘fine dining’ friends out at Warburton. You never know what you’ll get for dinner but guaranteed that it will be at least 4 courses, all amazingly cooked with some of the best wine I’ve ever had. They really do spoil their guests.

Favourite restaurant?
Gami Chicken & Beer – Korean Fried Chicken and their house brand beer………………..yummmmmmmm

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
Three weetbix, skim milk and a glass of apple juice at home reading the home delivered paper. Never have quite worked out why you’d spend $15 to $30 for breakfast.

Your favourite wedding story?
That would be my own when two winter babies decided to get married outside in the middle of January. What were we thinking! A dry 45 degrees during the day and still 30 degrees plus at 10pm with no breeze. The wedding video is a bit of a laugh and there is little continuity when it came to the wearing of jackets……jackets off, jackets on, jackets off and jackets on again. I would have put that damn sweat machine on and off at least a dozen times……………………at least I didn’t faint in the heat……………..unlike the bride!
