The stunning bridal collection from Melbourne designers Well Suited really caught my eye recently. Modern shapes, elegant styling- so much to love!

Designers Kerry and Nyssa worked on the collection for five years after being asked to make bridal gowns for clients and friends. With a strong presence in the Melbourne fashion world (they’ve had pieces being chosen to represent ‘The New Antipodeans’ at London Fashion Week as well as residencies at the NGV studio and pieces shown in the Melbourne, Now exhibition.) the label focuses on structural re-imaginings of classic wardrobe items.

The inspiration behind the debut bridal collection is drawn from the wedding veil, translating what is an traditional bridal accessory into a full outfit.  The duo recognising the disconnect with brides being taught to become something they’re not on their wedding day, wanted to create pieces that reflect the everyday sensibilities and style they see in their clients.

Mini collections are in the works, the duo hoping the pieces will be able to added to the base bridal collection – allowing brides to mix and match their pieces to suit their own personal style.

The dresses are available by appointment, visit the website Well Suited for more information on how to see these beauties in the flesh!
