Happy Monday Dotties! We’re well into the final month of Winter now and as a Winter lover I have mixed feelings. This winter has seemed particularly brutal (laughable when you consider Australia’s mild Winters!) so I am definitely looking forward to warmer days and fresh flowers blooming in my garden. Heck perhaps this year my gardenia won’t die from the Summer heat!

Every Monday at Polka Dot Bride is to showcase how incredible the members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory are. Photography to Photobooth Hire. Hair & Beauty to Styling & Hire. We even have Transport and round out with the most beautiful of Venues. But if you think that’s all – it isn’t as if there aren’t bucket loads more amazing vendors in Ms Polka Dot’s Directory just check them out!

red hill wedding venue

I’m always excited to see who gets picked out of our polka dot tea cup for our vendor of the week each week and these week’s stunning vendor couldn’t make me happier! A hop skip and a jump from Melbourne is the gorgeous Mornington Peninsula and on it sits beautiful winery Lindenderry! With 30 acres of stunning gardens, 40 recently renovated guest rooms and a beautiful onsite restaurant serving up local produce, this wedding venue is the perfect escape from the city!

We asked Sharon, the wedding co-ordinator from Lindenderry five questions in five minutes –

What is your favourite after five drink?

My favourite after 5pm drink is a Lemon Margarita (with lots of ice)

Your favourite weekend getaway?

My favourite weekend getaway is camping at Echuca on the river banks

Favourite restaurant?

Favourite restaurant would have to be “Two Buoys” in Dromana.  Two Buoys is more Tapas, so if you need a more formal restaurant, I would say Max’s Restaurant in Red Hill, both are my favourite. Two Buoys is a favourite when I just want a relaxed, chilled out experience, Max’s is when I am feeling like a special treat with friends or family visiting from far away.

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

I like to sleep in on Sunday morning so I don’t normally have Sunday breaky, but when I do, it’s poached eggs on wholegrain toast loaf, yummy!

Your favourite wedding story?

My favourite wedding story is when one of my past couples had their wedding here at Lindenderry. For the ceremony, their flower girl and page boy were their dogs, all dressed up in suits and a pretty little doggy dress. They were so well trained and looked so gorgeous, it was fantastic! It was a surprise arranged by the groom for all the guests, and what a perfect surprise it was!
