October is such a full month for weddings and it’s so wonderful to hear and see the whispers of them unfolding via social media. A sneaky bouquet photo, DIY projects underway and then the photos – oh the photos make our days!

Before we kick off our own week of happy wedding inspiration it’s time to highlight, spotlight and show off the members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory.  We have Flowers, we have Catering, we have Celebrants, we even have Wedding Planners! We work really hard to get vendors on board who are lovely – the kind who get excited about your plans and share a glass of champagne with you while discussing them!

Check out Ms Polka Dot’s Directory for wedding vendors who will love your wedding as much as you!

Let me introduce you to this week’s vendor of the week – the talented Kit Haselden Photography! Coming from a commercial background, Kit has a clean modern take on wedding photographs and each one he produces is a beautiful capture of the wedding day. His love is bringing the best out in his clients and his photographs? From the smiles to the tears and all the in between, certainly show that the passion for people is in his blood.

We asked Kit of Kit Haselden Photography five questions in five minutes –

What is your favourite after five drink?

I like a my Ozzie craft beers. ATM its Fat Yak. A tasty fruity beer from Matilda Bay. I also like A Vodka Martinis.

Your favourite weekend getaway?

Red Hill, Victoria. I head there every 6-8 weeks for the weekend to unwind and have a sleep-in and breath some country air. It’s well known for good food and wine, horses and a relaxed atmosphere.

Favourite restaurant?

Something quiet and relaxing.

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Bacon and eggs, roast tomatoes and Danish feta.

Your favourite wedding story?

One of my favourite weddings was a location wedding in Wanaka, NZ. It was up on a hill overlooking a lake, mountains and a glacier. They are two doctors – Rina and Ziggy. An Indian gal and Kiwi boy, they are best friends and have traveled the world together. Their wedding was the perfect mix of romance, culture and tradition. It was a 2 day semi traditional Indian wedding with a twist of modern and colour. It was awesome getting to know their family and friends over the two days and experiencing a different culture.
