Sarah & Con

What is commitment to you? To me, building a wedding venue for your daughter’s wedding (which is available for you to hire, by the way!) just so she could marry on the farm that she spent much of her child hood on. That’s commitment! But mind you I’m not sure it holds much against the love story of Sarah and Con which is a beautiful one. Their wedding just a reflection of their love for one another – Sarah’s hairpiece was worn by her mother on her own wedding day. The flowers? Arranged by the bride herself. So much of this heartfelt vibe is poured into this sweet family farm wedding captured by Nick Stewart at Skipping Stone Photography

Sarah tells the story of how they met. “We meet at Jackson’s on George. My sister gave Con my number on a coaster and the rest was history.

Of their photographer, Sarah notes, “Our photographer was everything we could have asked for. The most professional crew but at the same time felt a part of the family. We couldn’t be happier with the memory’s that Nick captured. The day was so easy going thanks to him we felt so relaxed. Everyone was talking about how he was there to capture all the special moments. They didn’t miss a thing! ”

Sarah remarks “It was all special. Everyone that came and how it was our family property, but I think the most special detail was I was wearing my mother’s veil that she wore on her wedding day.”

Sarah and Con married on Sarah’s family farm (Greenfield Family Farm  02 4977 3076), the bride telling, “The venue was my family farm that my parents built. We lived in Sydney and would travel up every weekend from when I was three. It wouldn’t seem right if I didn’t get married there. They then decided to build an amazing outdoor venue to hold the 125 guests. They made it everything I had dreamt about. We had a ceiling of 5000 fairy lights and long tarsal tables that my father built leading up to the special day. It was breathtaking. The venue is now for hire and we would recommend it to anyone that wants a country fairy tale wedding.”

Sarah remembers, ” I went to the flower markets on the Thursday before the big day and bought all the flowers for the bouquets, reception and ceremony. With an army of family and friends we put the fairy lights up and decorated the place with flowers, signs, and more flowers.”
