Happy Monday Dotties! I am so ready for a week of good weddings, fab inspiration and please, please no tech issues! Let’s get this Winter week on the road!

It’s Monday and that means it’s time to highlight, spotlight and show off the members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory.  We have Menswear, we have Celebrants, we have Catering, we even have Bridesmaids Gowns! We work really hard to get vendors on board who are excited to share a cup of tea and cake (always cake!) and help you plan  the best wedding day possible!

Check out Ms Polka Dot’s Directory for wedding vendors who will love your wedding as much as you!

Ever dream of wedding and a space that has no sense of ‘ballroom’ about it? Our vendor of the week is just for you!

Museum Spaces encompasses 4 beautiful and historic spaces – Melbourne Museum, Scienceworks, Immigration Museum and the Royal Exhibition Building. With caterers attached to each venue, these magnificent venues all offer something a little different in style, so all you need to do is dream about the finer details of your wedding day. Choose from clean and modern at Melbourne Museum, to rustic and historic at Scienceworks and an eclectic space at Immigration Museum. Just add flowers, guests and plenty of love!

We asked Kirby of Museum Spaces five questions in five minutes –

What is your favourite after five drink?

A nice cold beer – loving Stone and Wood in the sunny weather or an oaky chardy.

Your favourite weekend getaway?

Daylesford, Trentham, Kyneton – fresh air, so relaxing and delicious food!

Favourite restaurant?

Hell of the North, Fitzroy – such good ambience. Those pulled pork donuts are amazing!

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Poached eggs on toast and if I am lucky some bacon too.

Your favourite wedding story?

Gorgeous friends sent out invitations for their engagement party in country NSW. My partner and I receive a call from them asking if we were coming and it would be really really REALLY great if we could – we knew at this stage it was likely going to be a little more than an engagement party.
They had a small marquee in their backyard with handmade napkins, vintage jars, fresh flowers and even their oranges on the orange tree had hand painted white love hearts on them!
Later in the afternoon, everyone was told to gather together, and in came the bride (who had had a dress change) to a beautiful knee length dress and vintage fascinator. The food was all cooked and prepared by the couple’s family and everyone just chatted into the night, and had a little dance. So relaxed and lovely!
