Every season, colour authority Pantone releases a sneak peek at what to expect for trending colours in upcoming seasons. The colours transpire through fashion, homewares and even to weddings. The Spring 2016 colour report got me excited for warmer weather, so today I thought it would be fun to inspire you with ideas to use these bright, beautiful colour tones in your own big day.

Rose Quartz is such a beautiful feminine tone for a wedding. This warm toned pale pink is such a subtle colour that it almost acts like a neutral, so while it looks beautiful and sweet paired with simple white. You could also mix it up and add soft apricot, a hydrangea blue, or even pair it back with other neutral tones like pewter greys and for a more formal look – a rich black.

Perfect for warmer weather, the deep hues of Peach Echo are summery and delicious. Particularly prominent in beautiful blooms like dahlias and roses, when paired with tonal variations like pale pinks and soft apricots it makes for the most beautiful wedding palette. Or for something rather modern, consider it with pale grey or even blue.

The clear tones of Serenity are such a fresh Spring tone. Particularly reminiscent of hydrangea blooms, Serenity has a lilac undertone to it and looks beautiful paired with plain white or gray. For something with a little more colour, try it with apricot, dusky pink or even a zesty orange.

For those that want a darker colour for warmer weather, while still keeping a touch of Spring, then Snorkel Blue is for you. Not quite navy blue and not quite Sapphire blue, the tone of Snorkel Blue falls somewhere in between, combining the best of both worlds. Pair with white and red for a nautical look, peach and pinks for something feminine or taupe and latte brown for an understated affair.

The gorgeous purple tone to this lilac gray gives it the right amount of Spring warmth. For something ultra formal, lilac grey with carbon black will set the scene.

We love a neutral tone here at Polka Dot Bride, so when Iced Coffee came along, I knew I’d fall in love with it. Whether you keep this one chic and sophisticated by pairing it with champagne, chocolate brown and glimmering gold or create a completely beautiful colour palette by adding hydrangea blue, spring green or lilac, it really sets the tone for a beautiful event.

The vibrant tones of Green Flash are so beautiful in a wedding colour palette and they’re easy to add with plenty of greenery. Create a bright and fun look by combining it with citrus colours like zesty orange and primrose yellow, something much more feminine with fairy floss pink or take it modern by adding copper and taupe.
