Happy Monday Dotties! It’s time for a big week of Christmas (eek!) planning here at Polka Dot Bride, ’tis the season after all! What did you get up to on the weekend?

We are excited to be showcasing some gorgeous weddings this week, some of which include our lovely vendors. So take some time for a coffee, while we highlight and show off the members of Ms Polka Dot’s Directory.  We have Favours & Decor Accessories, we have Photobooth Hire, we have Stationery & Paper Goods, we even have Photography! We value our Directory members because they strive hard to help you achieve the wedding of your dreams, entertain you and your guests, and record your memories in the most professional way possible.

Check out Ms Polka Dot’s Directory for wedding vendors who will love your wedding as much as you!

The duo behind Snowflake Creations travel between Sydney and Canberra to photograph weddings but will also travel halfway around the world if asked! They photograph your wedding as a duo, recording all those little details that are too important to miss. There are thousands of little details and stories to be told – no two are ever the same – just like snowflakes – from which this creative couple get their business name. Blending in so that you’re not conscious of them, is Vicki and Jacques’ specialty – and that’s when the best shots happen – when you’re relaxed and enjoying the moment.

We asked Vicki and Jacques of Snowflake Creations five questions in five minutes:

What is your favourite after five drink?

I must say we’re both partial to a little Sailor Jerry’s with ginger beer and lime; but you can never go past a hearty red wine in the wintertime.

Your favourite weekend getaway?

We both love a spot of fishing, so when we’re not working we like to head to a little town on the NSW South Coast called Sussex Inlet. We can easily spend all day on a boat out on the St George’s Basin. It’s so quiet and relaxing; and I love that when you’re on the water you can’t worry about anything else because you can’t physically do anything else! As they say, fishing time is my time.

Favourite restaurant?

Jacques hails from Johannesburg, so his favourite dishes always involve some kind of barbequed meat; they call it a braai. There is a South African steak and ribs restaurant in Bondi, not far from us called Kelly’s that I’d say takes the cake for Jacques. Mine would have to be Buffalo Dining Club in Darlinghurst – I can’t go past fresh pasta and cheese in all its forms!

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Eggs, eggs and more eggs. We get our eggs from my uncle’s farm down in the Snowy Mountains, and veg from my dad’s garden near Canberra. Brekkie with a side of fresh baby spinach, avocado and tomatoes, served on sourdough from our local bakery. Then top it off with a coffee and a walk along the beach. Bliss.

Your favourite wedding story?

Friends of ours had a christening for their son and surprised all of their friends and family by getting married too!
