With 15 years experience, Roger of Envy Photography is a straightforward sort of chap (hailing originally from New Zealand no less) with a great sense of humour. He loves his photography, using the sky, the light, the surroundings to help tell the story of your day. Just by looking at his images you can feel the warmth of the sun, the breeze or the sand between your toes, the love, the joy – and that emotion is, after all, what you will remember most about your wedding day, long after all the details have faded from your memory.
We asked Roger of Envy Photography five questions in five minutes:
What is your favourite after five drink?
What ?…. am I only allowed one? Let’s go with a smooth scotch on the rocks then.
Your favourite weekend getaway?
I have kids…I getaway as far as I can !…just kidding, I love my kids. Actually my passion is riding motorbikes….Harley’s in particular and I love to unwind with the wind in my face.
Favourite restaurant?
Again….I have kids….I guess McDonalds stands out !
What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
If I sleep in there is usually nothing left !! ( did I tell you I have kids). If I’m really lucky I have scrambled eggs on toast.
Your favourite wedding story?
Several years ago I had a groom cancel the wedding just a couple of weeks out, I think just from sheer nerves. A couple of months later I got a phone call from him saying it was back on again, and fortunately we found a date that enabled me to be the photographer, and the wedding went ahead, and as far as I know they are still happily married….they even have a couple of kids, which probably means he is missing out on breakfast also if he sleeps in….
