Some say a bride has a million things to do before a wedding. Though there are some things that require a groom to take charge. To ensure you don’t forget the big stuff, we’ve compiled an A to Z checklist for everything a groom needs to do before the wedding day!

Accessories. Talk colour schemes with your fiancé and organise coordinating pocket squares and cufflinks.

Bucks party. It’s your time to enjoy yourself so make sure you’ve got something spectacular planned.

Confirm, confirm, confirm. Are the hotel, transport and any hired equipment ready to go?

Discuss the guest list with your fiancé; you wouldn’t want her to forget your favourite cousin Dylan.

Eat! What better task than to awaken your tastebuds than by trying cakes and sampling the menu.

Forget me not. Lay out your outfit and make sure you aren’t missing any buttons or that sock that always seems to end up in Narnia.

Groomsmen. Who do you want standing next to you on your special day?

Have all the gifts ready for either the bucks night or the rehearsal dinner.

Is your fiancé’s present ready?

Just relax! Wedding planning can seem endless but it will all be worth it.

Kiss. Make sure you’re on the same page about the all important kiss.

Licence. Apply for your marriage licence before the date.

Money and travel cards need to be ready before your leave for your honeymoon.

Night before – Stay sober!

Organise dance classes to perfect your first dance.

Polish your shoes or at least make sure they are clean.

Quality. Is your speech perfected?

Rings! The all important rings needs to be picked up and have any engravings checked.

Styling. Do you have your grooming products and aftershave ready? Make sure to get a hair cut at least a week before the wedding.

Timing. Have you got a plan for the running of the ceremony. Does everybody know where to be and at what time?

Umbrellas in case it rains. There’s nothing worse than standing at the alter in a see through white shirt.

Vest or not the vest? What style is your wedding?

Well wishes. Don’t forget to thank your guests for their well wishes.

XO With all the wedding planning going on don’t forget to remind your fiancé you love her.

Yes, yes and yes. Make sure your checklists are ticked off.

Zen. Stay Zen don’t let your nerves get the best of you.

There you have it –  26 must do’s! Don’t forget to add anything that pops up on the way. There’s bound to be a few speed bumps but keeping track with a list will ensure your day is nothing but perfection.
